One of the most common misconceptions about pontoon boats is that they are slow and difficult to handle. Many people love pontoon boats for the comfort, the space, and the amenities that can be added such as lounge chairs, wet bars, and even sliding boards, but they want the speed and performance of a v-hull style boat. While in the past you may have had to choose between the two, modern technology has allowed pontoon boats to evolve into high performance boats that can handle any activity.

At Avalon, our patented Waveglider system adds a center pontoon, sometimes referred to as a “tritoon”, that increases speed and handling by effectively giving the boat some extra lift. This enables the boat to cut through waves and reduces drag which gives it a smoother, quicker glide making for a fast pontoon boat that can handle rougher waters in comfort and style,and can be used for watersports, like Waketooning.
