We use our boat for everything from day trips, sandbar days to camping and even poker runs.

I think the overall design is the best looking on the market. The best part is I can still go fast and shoot a nasty rooster. We are on our second Avalon and will be purchasing a third.

To everyone at Avalon-

Thank you so much for taking us on a tour of your great facility. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and appreciated greatly, the hard work that all of you put into your product. The pride in your work was evident. We appreciate how you are helping to keep our beautiful Michigan’s economy going!I really do not want to mention names because then people get left out, but I have to extend a special thank you to Becci for keeping Marlee safe & happy! Cody for arranging the tour and babysitter! Thank you to the other women in the office who had to work with a “BABY ON BOARD”.- Thank you to all those people in the plant who said hi & greeted us! Thank you to the people working on the boat & allowed us to “get in your way”. Thank you to the woman who got the ladder so we could climb up to get on the boat!Thank you to all of you & to the management who creates a culture & fosters a work environment that encourages the warm, welcoming environment that Avalon displayed.

P.S. – we will LOVE our boat! Also – it was so nice how we were treated so special when we ordered our Catalina Cruise and not a custom made super luxury model. Thank you!

Brian,

I would like to take this opportunity to again thank the both of you and the entire Avalon team for the plant tour and the time you guys took to show us your operation from start to finish. Seeing your operation and how you build these boats, we were extremely impressed, and convinced that the purchase of the Avalon Catalina was the right decision.

Your timing for this tour could not have been more perfect as we had the opportunity to actually see our boat in its final stages of assembly. Believe us, that was a special treat!

Also, thanks for lunch and taking that extra time from your busy schedules.

Again, thanks!

Brian and Nick,

I wanted to thank you both for helping me get this fantastic new boat in the water. It’s exceptional and my wife and I just love it. We are grateful. I’ve never had a boat like this before and I’m still enjoying checking out all the upgraded features.

As you remember, we wanted a specific color and seat configuration and you helped me find this blue and charcoal one on the factory floor. The interior if absolutely beautiful.

I’m in my 60’s but I feel almost like I did when I bought my first car at age 17. I’ve gone down to my dock early in the morning with a cup of coffee and just sat on it.

Anyway, I just wanted to express my appreciation for re-rigging it for the Honda power and adding the ski tow bar. I’m happy Avalon got the factory back up as I’m sure there are other people like me across the country anxious to get in their new boat.

Good luck to both of you and thanks for your extra efforts.

Sincerely,

Rich Hanzlik

I hope someone at Avalon sees this post and he gets the recognition he deserves for how truly dedicated he is.

I ordered my second Avalon back in very early March before any of this corona stuff was happening in the country. With an expected delivery date of Mid April.

Very shortly after I placed my order, things escalated rapidly and the country was shut down.

I had a few questions and one big concern with one design option on my build, the last thing I wanted to do was bother anyone, when they have their own families and financial situations etc etc to worry about, but, somehow I was lucky enough to get in touch with a gentleman that works directly at Avalon, named Jeremy Cole.

Even when their office was shut down,he was looking into my situation, and responding to me, almost instantly, every time. I am not even sure if he was actually working during those times, yet he still took the time to respond to me.

It is people like him, that made buying my second Avalon the obvious choice of boat manufacturer to stick with. The boats are top notch of course, but being a company that is so hands on like they are, makes all the difference.

If anyone else has a particular person they’d like to thank at Avalon/Tahoe, let’s give them the shout outs they deserve.

Avalon Team,

I have recently purchased the 24′ Windjammer Elite from Scott Wilson, the owner of Chesdin Boat Sales. I would like to begin by saying how pleased we are with this purchase and the quality of your boats. Secondly, how well Scott complements your product. As you well know, both have to complement each other in order for both to be successful. Scott has gone well beyond our expectations. Our first visit was on the 26th of December, where he met with us for about 3 hours, where he gave us a complete tour of the Avalon family, options, and finished the day with a ride on the lake. I can without a doubt say that most boat companies in the Richmond area closed a week prior to Christmas and did not reopen until the first boat show in the New Year. Our second meeting, Scott assisted us in our selection where we signed our contract. This past Saturday, unbeknownst to me, Scott delivered our Windjammer on his Birthday.

My Son and I took the Windjammer out on Sunday for a couple of hours. At the boat ramp, every boater that was there came over to look at the Windjammer with its red and yellow graphics on the black background. There was even a fire department there, practicing getting water from a lake, they too stopped training to come over and take a glance. As we rode up the lake breaking the new Yamaha 150 in we were flagged down by two other boaters that were equally inquisitive. Upon returning to the boat ramp, there were folks in the restaurant there that came out to look as well. Once we loaded the boat on the trailer, Scott came over and spent some time with us making sure everything was exactly like we wanted it.

After Scott departed, an interested family stopped by to complement us on our boat which turned into a conversation on the quality of Avalon and the customer service Scott has provided. I am a very honest person. I can provide anyone with positive feedback on the quality of Avalon and the customer service provided by Scott.

I could keep writing about both the product and customer service. We are extremely satisfied and extremely confident that we made the right purchase and from the right person. If all of your dealers are like Scott, well I can say that 2012 will be a very prosperous year for Avalon.
Thank you for your time and we are certainly proud to be in the Avalon family.

Dear Avalon,

Just a quick note to say “thanks” to the Avalon team, especially Brian, for aiding in the future sale of the 2012 Ambassador. It is so refreshing to work with a manufacturer who sees the big picture, even at the grass roots level. I always feel like Brian is working to get the job done which is a contrast to my dealing with other manufacturers.

Here is a quick story for you – I had a customer who bought a very expensive ski boat from our dealership. He got the boat home and discovered a flaw in a feature of the boat. Admittedly, he skirted around the normal warranty channels and called the factory himself sharing his frustration. The customer described that he was treated poorly by the manufacturer and actually felt belittled by customer service. I heard the story from the customer and was disappointed. What’s my point? Well, I’ve never felt that we, the dealer, or a retail customer has ever been treated poorly by Avalon. That means a lot. It’s a testament to the quality of the Avalon team and that makes our business with your company easy.

Brian, arranging delivery of the engine and the boat has relieved a lot of stress. Great job, for sure.

And so, our teamed is excited to receive that Ambassador and get it delivered to a customer intending to use it over the 4th. Awesome.

Job well done so far. Brian, I’ll touch base with you on Monday with a courtesy email.

Kindly,

Kevin:

I write today to let you know how much I appreciate your services related to the damage to my Avalon pontoon boat. It was very important to me that not only did you and your folks fix the boat, but you were successful in getting it completed within my time constraint of August 30. My wife and I cannot adequately express how happy we were that you were able to get the job done in time. Without that boat, our Labor Day weekend at our home in Lake Placid would not have been much fun. If, in the future, we need our boat serviced, I will be sure to give you a call.

Thanks, again.

Hi Drew, I don’t know if you remember me. I’m Lynn Irwin and my wife’s name is Terri. Last fall Andy Trapp from Lake Shore Marine in Ludington, Michigan met with me at your factory for a tour given by you. I just wanted to let you know how much we are enjoying our new Avalon LSZ 2480 QL that you built for us. I have 36 hours on it and we just love the boat. We have it on Lake Hamlin in Ludington and every where we go with it we get so many compliments on our boat. The boat exceeded everything I had hope for. It is very easy to maintain and performs beautifully on the water. My wife and I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate your tour of the factory and that you were very receptive to all our needs to build our boat the way we wanted it. You really went out of your way to personalize our boat for us. Andy Trapp at Lake Shore did a excellent job of preparation of our boat and made our experience of buying a Avalon Pontoon Boat wonderful. He represents your Avalon Pontoon Boat in a very professional and very knowledgeable way. He is a great person and now a good friend. So again, we just want to say thank you so much for a wonderful experience in buying a Avalon Pontoon Boat.

Let me start by saying, we’ve been boaters most of our adult lives. We’ve created so many memories over the years from our time boating with family and friends; it’s amazing. Our kids are married now and we didn’t anticipate any grandchildren for a while. Last year we decided to sell our 26′ Sea Ray. For some reason, we were thinking we could survive without the pleasure of boating. It didn’t take long for us to realize we had made a big mistake of selling our boat. We knew we were going to have to buy another boat before this summers boating season began. I was a fiberglass boat guy and never thought I would ever consider a Tritoon. Well things change; especially when your significant other influences you.
We started looking at boats last fall and I quickly became overwhelmed by how many Tritoon boats are out there. One day I was talking to my buddy at the Old Bait House in Paducah KY and he encouraged me to stop by and check out the Avalon. I did and was so impressed with the sub structure I made up my mind that if I was going to buy a Tritoon this was the boat I wanted to buy. My wife didn’t seem to really care about the underside of the boat. She was more interested in what’s above the deck. I did what good husbands do, I turned it over to Steve to find her what she wanted. I’m thankful Steve never gave up on us. My wife went through the Avalon book and circled everything she thought she might want in our new boat. My gosh there were a lot of circles in that book. lol
Covid-19 came a long and ordering what she wanted and getting it this summer seemed out of the question, so we thought. Steve at the Old Bait House searched dealer inventory and came up empty. He reached out to Brian at Avalon and explained the situation as to what we were looking for. Brian told him that Avalon had a boat at the end of the assembly line in Michigan that was being built for another dealer’s inventory that might just work for us. The only problem was the plant was shutdown and it would be a few weeks before it could be completed. We agreed this might be our best option, so we had Brian send pictures and the build sheet. My wife liked what she saw, so we started the process to purchase. The boat didn’t have an engine, so I had to decide on which engine to put on the boat. Noticed I said I. lol (300 Merc).
Brian worked with Steve to get the boat and engine shipped to KY for the final assembly. The boat was shipped to The Old Bait House in Paducah, KY and the team there put on the final touches. The boat turned out beautiful! I ‘m telling you it was amazing. It’s a Catalina 2585RL with a Merc 300. Only thing that might make it better would be a Merc 400. lol
We took our new Catalina 2585RL out last Saturday for its maiden voyage with some friends and boy was I impressed. I loved the way it handled the waves, the comfort of the interior, the way it turned, and the sound system just to name a few awesome features of the Avalon boats. As for performance, that is yet to be determined, still in break-in phase but I’m sure Mercury will hold up to its reputation!
Thanks Avalon and The Old Bait House for making dreams become reality, especially during these unprecedented times! Oh by the way, we now have 2 grandchildren and 1 on the way!
Stay Safe and Healthy,
John and Lori M in Kentucky

Dear Avalon,

I purchased an Avalon pontoon boat a few years ago. I simply love my boat. The mooring cover began to rip and tear after the 1st year. I am not very close to a dealer and I do not have a trailer for my boat, so taking it to a dealer would have been problematic. So I called direct to Avalon and was SO fortunate to speak with Cody. Cody listened to me and readily solved the problem. I sent my cover to Avalon and a new one was made and sent to me. Cody was so kind and professional to me.

The new cover arrived with no snaps on it….so again I called Cody…who again took care of everything. Cody saw that a local boat repair shop came and put the snaps on my boat cover. I was SO impressed with Cody. He was courteous & professional & took care of everything in a very timely fashion. Cooks Marine Service was excellent, too.

As a consumer, I only want two things when I make a purchase…first, to be sold a quality product…second, to have the company service me if there is a problem. Avalon and Cody did both of these things.

Avalon will always have a customer in me.

Dear Avalon,

I just wanted to say “Thank You” for helping us get our new Avalon pontoon boat. Although the weather hasn’t been great for boating, we have been able to take it out a couple of times. Attached is a family picture on our new boat. Kelly and I can’t wait to spend time with family and friends out on the lake. The kids will have life long memories of their time spent on the lake. We will be forever grateful. Brian couldn’t have been any more helpful and is truly an asset to your company.

Thanks again,

Dear Avalon,

We have had our Avalon Pontoon boat for about 10 months now. We love the boat, it is well built with high quality of materials, looks good and have had many great comments by people we have taken out on the boat as well as other boat owners out on the water. The boat satisfies all of our boating needs from fishing to cruising and would recommend Avalon to anyone looking to purchase a Pontoon boat. We encountered a nightmare of problems with the dealer we purchased the boat from and Avalon came to the rescue to resolve the problem, proving that they stand behind their products and provide support to their customers. Our thank’s go out to Jim Wolf CEO at Avalon.

Dear Avalon,

My husband and I would like to take this opportunity to comment on our recent purchase of an Avalon Eagle, 16 foot family edition pontoon boat. We live on a 90-acre, no-wake lake in Northern Michigan and love pontooning on our pristine lake. We had an old 1970’s pontoon that finally “bit the dust”; so we ventured off to the Traverse City Boat Show last April hoping to find a quality pontoon at a reasonable price. We found our dream boat in our Avalon Eagle!

Our boat arrived yesterday, delivered by Tim Wellnitz; owner of Luhr’s Landing in Rapid City. Tim is our local dealer. We wanted you to know what a pleasure it was dealing with Tim and his staff.

The Avalon Eagle is an affordable pontoon that looks like a Cadillac (as my husband says) on the water, From the luxurious vinyl seats, to the quality of the console, as well as the material of the bimini and mooring cover; everything is top-notch and beautiful!

As we cruised around the lake yesterday afternoon, all of our friends smiled and waved, commenting “What a beautiful boat!” We are the talk of Little Twin Lake and we love it!

When anyone asks us to recommend a pontoon boat for purchase, we will definitely let them know that the Avalon is the best! Please feel free to use our letter as a reference.

Thank you for heading up a team that appreciates fine craftsmanship – purchasing our boat – Made in Michigan – was indeed the right choice!

Sincerely,

Dave and Ellen Whitehead

Dear Avalon,

My wife Diane and I recently purchased a 2011 Avalon Paradise model 2285 RE through your dealer, Pier 36 in Howard, Ohio.

We worked closely with the owners of Pier 36 and decided to upgrade the model to include the triple pontoon, full aluminum under decking and the I/O engine configuration with swim platform. We also eliminated the starboard side gate, replacing the gated area with additional seating.

We’ve had the boat on the water on several occasions since mid-July, 2011.

Our lake is deep fresh water but can get fairly choppy when considerable boat traffic occurs on weekends. The “tri-toon” configuration is a dream compared to what we preciously experienced in our 25 foot pontoon boat that Pier 36 took on trade. The Avalon tri-toon cuts through the wake and chop effortlessly. Further, the engine delivers more power than I thought possible. If people like power on a pontoon, this is the boat to buy!

The engineering and craftsmanship on the boat is superb. You should be very proud of your product and the associates in your company who manufacture and assemble the finished product, It has exceeded all expectations by a wide margin, and I simply wanted to drop you a short note complimenting you on the boat and for having such a customer-focused and extremely knowledgeable dealership in Pier 36. They are a delight to work with, including post-sale service and follow up.

There is nothing I would suggest in terms of improvement to the boat except perhaps a mesh cover in the rear storage compartment above the I/O area, Otherwise, the Avalon Paradise seems perfect for our needs.

I wish you and your company continued success!

Sincerely,
Daniel DeLawder

I am the owner of an Avalon Catalina. It is a solid and comfortable boat and has brought my family hours of enjoyment.

I recently had an issue with a replacement running light bulb, and since I don’t have an Avalon dealer close by, I decide to go directly to the Avalon manufacturer. The only contact number I had was from a customer service form letter I received from Jim Wolf, the President and CEO of Avalon Mfg., after I bought the boat. I tried calling the customer service line and left voicemail messages. but received no response. I wanted the boat available for evening cruisng over the July 4th weekend, one week away, so I thought I’d just call and ask for the CEO, Jim Wolf.

To my delight, Mr. Wolf took my call, patiently listened to my issue, and had the replacement parts sent quickly. He also had some of his staff call me directly to apologize for any inconvenience and assure me that the cistomer service and parts lines would be more accessable.

This was a great example of excellent customer service. Overall, my problem was minor, and since I was calling at the absolute busiest time of the year for a pontoon boat manufacturer in the upper Midwest, even more minor. Yet my problem was solved quickly and steps were taken to ensure more accessable customer service in the future.

Based on my interaction with this organization, I am confident they take customer service seriously. My interaction with employees gave me confidence that this is a good organization from top to bottom and deserves the great reputation they have for producing high quality luxury pontoon boats. This experience has served to make me a more loyal Avalon customer and I would recommend an Avalon to anyone who wants well built and classy pontoon boat.

Hello,

Well we’ve now celebrated two years with our boat a few weeks ago and we have enjoyed it so much- it has exceeded over and over all our expectations. There is rarely a time out on the lake where people don’t drive up to comment on it- it’s weird- almost like a rock star being asked for photos and autographs. We’ve probably given over two dozen mini ‘tours’ of it to people who flat out come up to ask about it this summer alone. We noted Bay Marine next door to the Lake LBJ Marina has put on display some pontoons that ‘sorta’ look like our Avalon Ambassador but don’t even come close. They even asked the make and model.

Please forward our note to Avalon’s management- we can’t thank you and them enough for listening so actively to the things we requested and allowed us to collaborate on the hard top design when we emailed our first sketch. Avalon not only interpreted it perfectly with your help, but made it better than we could’ve ever imagined. We noted Avalon started doing that as an option and we are so glad. (NO- we’ll never expect any sort of credit for that- we are thankful they cared enough to even do it and we want Avalon to keep on doing great things and keeping a clearly great engineering and fabricating team well employed!).

We also wanted to report that the full fore and aft teak decking has been FLAWLESS and blows people away. It’s so easy to clean- no mildew or stink carpet. When you have to wash off the deck, no staining or oiling- just soap and water- incredible!!! It has NEVER puckered, either! PLEASE pass that on- they deserve to know the great job they did and to this day we appreciate them taking the time to do the decking the way we wanted- it was worth every penny.

We have a litany of things we want to praise- not a single flaw on the construction and Romney- you nailed it on getting us that 225 Honda. We have had eight adults on board and people LOVE to ski and wakeboard behind it- we can hit a nice 20-21MPH and keep it there. That big 21″ pitch prop pops them out of the water like no ski boat can- we’ve heard that over and over and over. I don’t ski but Pam does and they all say it’s the best ski boat they’ve been behind! The love the hardtop too and great sound system for skiing/wake boarding. Nothing beats people to death, especially non-skiing passengers than baking in the sun. It was a perfect blend and people are amazed that the boat often can pass up a lot of other boats out there. Amazing amazing amazing. Strangers have taken photos of the boat and put them on Facebook and some pontoon sites we didn’t even know they had snapped. Some awesome night shots with the blue LED’s on the back and the small mood lights that run along the teak deck at night- THAT is awesome.

Pam and I after two years of flat-out complete and utter joy of the boat have come up with other design ideas to share freely with Avalon and some cool after-market suggestions that Carey & Sons could gain some fame from.

Many thanks plus you all have always been there for that one-off questions or warranty item. Friends with all sorts of other makes and models just are in awe of you and Avalon.

You all are the best.

Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy Saturday and showing is the entire assembly and sub assembly process. We were both so very impressed with all aspects. It was Marsha’s first time ever in any assembly plant! It is so nice to see a successful, efficient, manufacturing company of boats that is Michigan based. I am such a huge fan of that, and try my best to support our “Michigan family. Especially the smaller towns. You are a good man and we really enjoyed talking to you and meeting and watching the Avalon/Tahoe family work their individual specialties and craft. What a great bunch of people!! We are “hooked” and look forward to our Avalon purchase.

After the Plant Tour, I’m a big fan Avalon Pontoon and the workers of Avalon. I’m a Product Development Engineering Manager at Ford Motor Company. I was impressed at how efficiently the boats come together and how much “vertical integration” Avalon utilize. I had no idea how much of the individual parts are handcrafted in the plant. Great to see!

I must add, what impressed me as much, was the craftsmanship, work ethic, and friendliness of the people. Watching them work, it was apparent to “this outsider” that it was more than just a job, the pride in their work was shining through . Everyone had a smile on their face, and made “us” truly feel as if “we” were family, visiting them in their work place. Those traits are irreplaceable, and truly “what it’s all about”. Kudos to the Avalon Leadership Team for putting together the “Stanley Cup Champions of the pontoon boat industry”. What a success story!

Thanks, again.

Hello,We are the proud owners of a 2100 Avalon Pontoon (2012). We purchased our Avalon as a leftover, in early 2013, through OWEN’S MARINE, in Hooksett, NH. There, we just happened to run into your regional representative, Roger Pelletier. What luck, how fortunate for us!

A few items were missing or damaged; the windshield and the courtesy curtain are two. We were going to be charged for adding these, by the dealer, but Roger informed us that they both are standard issue on all of your boats and therefore should be included at no charge. We were thrilled! Roger was also instrumental in expediting the shipping of those parts, to the NH dealer, for us.

Prior to delivery/pick up of our pontoon boat, we met up with Roger again, at the Boston Indoor Boat Show, in February 2013. He was glad to see us and spent over an hour with us. He pointed out several Avalon features for us to compare with all the other pontoons at the show. Roger also introduced us to the Lakeport Landing Avalon dealer, from Laconia NH.

It took several weeks for my check to arrive from a transaction with my 401K, which we used to purchase the boat. In that time period, Roger would call us to check on our progress with the purchase and we would chat as if he knew us his entire life. He was/ is such a pleasure to deal with.

Roger mentioned that Avalon may be interested in moving the dealership down the road about 2-3 miles to GREEN’S MARINE. I told him that I dealt with Steve Green often, with our V-hull I/O, and that I would mention that “interest” to Steve Green. I was able to open the lines of communication for them both.

An arrangement was made for us to pull our boat out of Owens and take it to Green’s for the finishing touches. Roger made certain that we were WELL taken care of. Everything on our list was completed and the entire boat was checked over.

I apologize, I seem to have never sent this to you in the summer. In a recent visit to Green’s, I was delighted to see that you have transferred the Avalon dealership to them ! GREAT move and it is now in good hands !

When winterizing , they removed the damaged seat and Roger seamlessly had it taken care of (recovered) at your plant.
I just wanted to let you know how impressed we are with Roger , and now Green’s, as well.

We will continue to enjoy our pontoon this summer, with plans to add two speakers under the front (fore) seats and a second bimini top, for those HOT days when everyone wants to be out of the direct sun.Your new line WILL do well and we wish you a very prosperous 2014.
Best Regards,
